  • We offer 15 minute phone consultations free of charge in order to answer any and all questions you may have about the therapeutic process and my therapeutic approach. • Yes, absolutely. A mental health professional has the expertise of helping you find ways to understand and navigate whatever you're going through and what you've been through. A therapist can help you learn new skills, gain a fresh perspective, listen to you without judgment, and help you to not be so hard on yourself. Therapy is completely confidential so you won’t have to worry or stress about any one knowing anything you don't want them to know.

  • Many clients find the combination of regular therapy and medication to be very effective. Medication will target and treat the symptoms. It will be our work in therapy that will equip you to explore the root causes, peel back the layers of negative patterns and habits in your life and teach you skills that will help you experience the results and changes you are really looking for.

  • Each person who engages in therapy has different concerns, issues and goals for therapy. Wea will also collaborate with you to establish your individualized goals, set realistic expectations and figure out which therapeutic approach will meet your specific needs.

  • The number of sessions and frequency of therapy will depend on the goals you choose to work on in therapy and the factors that are driving you to seek therapy in the first place. During your first session we will openly discuss what works for your schedule and set realistic expectations for the length of time you will be in therapy.

Rates and Insurance

Rates

Please contact us and we can provide information regarding session rates and sliding scale information.

Insurance

We have chosen not to be in-network providers with insurance companies in order to protect the confidentiality of our clients. Most insurance companies require the release of your confidential health records in order to cover your services, and even a mental health diagnosis which can affect the quality of therapy you receive.

However, many insurance companies cover a portion of the cost of therapy, even for out-of-network providers. If your insurance plan has out of network benefits, I can provide you with a “superbill” each month that will include the necessary information required for your insurance companies to reimburse you a percentage approved by your plan.

If you are concerned about financial costs or sliding scales, please contact us and we can discuss these concerns together.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
